Join Creative Cape Town, Cape Town Design Network and VISI for “Meet the Makers,” a special sneak peek into the inner workings of some of Cape Town’s most dynamic design studios. A select group of innovative Cape Town designers will host exclusive tours of their studios.
During “Meet the Makers”, attendees will have the opportunity to see work in progress and intimately view the environment in which Cape Town designers produce original, thought-provoking creations. This is the perfect opportunity for those interested in design to learn about the different designers, their methodologies and studio culture. Attendees will also receive a fabulous goodie bag courtesy of VISI.
Katie Thompson’s studio REcreate is overflowing with upcycled home and interior products. Katie’s penchant for turning one person’s trash into another’s treasured heirloom reflects an aesthetic truly committed to honoring timeless design. By repurposing everything from garden sieves to steamer trunks, Katie finds a way to breathe new and modern life into discarded everyday items.
