About Creative Week

Creative Week is an annual celebration of creativity, innovation and culture. Crowdsourced by Capetonians and coordinated by Creative Cape Town, a programme of the Cape Town Partnership, Creative Week is an opportunity to experience the city's energy and diversity while The Loerie Awards are in town.

From 13 to 21 September 2014, start where you are, use what you have and make what you can to celebrate everyday creativity during Creative Week Cape Town.

Not just for artists, photographers and designers, Creative Week calls on change agents, charities, clubs and educators to come up with interesting ways to showcase your ideas. Just get out there and do something: paint, play, move, watch, talk, design, listen, learn or revolutionise… the choice is yours. Along the way you can also show off your talents, connect with your fellow creatives and support the creative economy of your city.

By aggregating these efforts - from street art to gallery exhibitions, demonstrations to lectures, parties to walking tours - Creative Week celebrates the city's energy and diversity.
